Cutting sticks

To counter the action of the cutting of the blade, cutting sticks are made in different segments, lengths and harnesses.

This is the only way to guarantee that the cutting blade will last and that the machine’s folder will function correctly. Therefore the choice of the material of the cutting stick, in rubber, polyurethane or Vulkollan is extremely important. On the basis of the technical specifications, the type of application and the desired duration, Ulmex produces cutting sticks in different types of material: 

Materials 

Rubber - hardness from 70° to 90° Shore

Polyurethane - hardness from 80° to 90° Shore

Vulkollan - hardness from 65° to 95° Shore  
 
Material characteristics

Rubber - hard material, recommended for heavy machining

Polyurethane - soft material with high abrasive resistance

Vulkollan - special material for high performance
