Consumables for web press folders

For length cutting of reels of paper, cardboard, cellophane and plastic film and other types of material. Knives are produced with: single or double bevel, double inclined bevel and bevel with inside recess.

In harmony with the upper circular knife, the bottom knife must be made from a material that is compatible with the upper circular knife as well as respecting technical specifications such as: eccentricity and perfect planarity.

For continuous length perforation of paper, cardboard, cellophane and plastic film and other types of material.

For cross cutting of reels of paper, cardboard, cellophane and plastic film and other types of material.

For toothed cross cutting of reels of paper, cardboard, cellophane and plastic film and other types of material.

For the formation of signatures, Ulmex produces all types of tucker blades with various kinds of chamfer and slots for every type of fold.

To grasp and drag signatures without causing any damage even to densely coloured surfaces and high production cycles.

To drag the signatures, Ulmex produces pins for all types of folder. We make pins with smooth or toothed ends, and in different shapes based on the type of paper and page pagination. We usually have pins in stock for all folder models.

To fasten and adjust the pins on the folder cylinder, Ulmex produces pin holders and adjusting screws for all types of folder. 

To counter the action of the cutting of the blade, cutting sticks are made in different segments, lengths and harnesses. 

To secure the linear blades in the blade holder, the pressure bars are also used to counter the pricks of the pins that leave small holes on them by virtue of their softness. 

To secure the linear blade in combination with the two pressure bars, Ulmex makes blade holders for all folder models.

To ensure that the sheets of paper pass smoothly from one conveyor belt to another. 

To convey the printed copy to the folder output for the paper converting machines, Ulmex produces whole or half-moon paddle wheels, or half-moon with interchangeable paddles. 

To accompany the sheet, foam pads are parts that comprise a supporting base made in different types of material and an upper coating.

To feed, drag and brake paper reels.

For the lateral dragging of web ribbons, thanks to a series of modern machines, Ulmex produces high quality rollers top of the former with very restricted tolerances, guaranteeing the exact convergence of the roller.

To brake, stabilize, grasp and drag the printed copy after cutting,  Ulmex makes grippers and gripper pads for all types of folder.

To brake and stabilize web ribbons or sig- natures. We make brushes with different bristles depending on the application, temperature, chemical agents and type of paper, that are resistant to bending and tangling.

To lubricate the stitching thread, Ulmex produces acid-resistant bearer pads for all models of wire stitching machine. 

To clean and scrape the print cylinders, the doctor blade is an important element in web, rotogravure and flexographic presses. 

To wash and clean print cylinders, Ulmex produces steel wash-up doctors with a shaped rubber and Vulkollan lip.

To scrape the ink from the fountain cylinder Ulmex produces ink tucking blades with segments divided by spaces of a minimum of  0.025 mm, coated in a thin layer of white silicon.

For the former fold of the web ribbon, at the end of the former, Ulmex produces former noses for the most common presses. 

In the folding and paper converting sections, belts are used to transport the signatures.
